Just my thoughts....
Is it just me?

Hey computer users. I have a problem, was wondering if anyone else is seeing it, or has any suggestions? Only happens at WC, btw.

When on WinCustomize forums, you can mouse over a topic and get a small preview of that topic, well, mine aren't going away.

I have to close IE 11 and reopen it to get rid of it.   Windows 8.1 MCE 64 bit.

I got it for $14.99 and I like it. Matter of fact, it is and has been my default OS for weeks now. 8, and now 8.1.

Stardock makes it useable.

It's like a SAAB, you either like it, or you hate it. Not much middle ground.

For the record, putting WC in compatibility view fixes the popup problem, but brings back double previews.

Well, that is wrong. Compatibility view doesn't fix the popups. After a while, I got them again. I guess, until MS fixes IE11, or WinCustomize is made compatible, I'll think about another browser while at WinCustomize, which is the only place I see a problem.

Having done both an upgrade to and a clean install of 8.1, I think it is safe to say that most of the issues people are having (slow boot times, problems on the internet, programs no longer working) are simply due to the upgrade process and not W8.1 itself...these problems aren't a whole lot different than when people upgraded to vista or 7 and suddenly had problems cropping up out of nowhere...

As with any OS, clean installs are the only way to ensure stability....

Btw, I do not experience this problem on the forums, even if coming from wincustomize...I really don't think it is an inherent problem with 8.1 or IE 11....

I think it's a combo of IE11 and the WinCustomize site. I say this because I had the same problem on Windows 7 and IE 10. Also Windows 8 and IE 10. On both this rig, and my laptop.

Even in a Virtual Windows 8.1 Preview.   ONLY at WinCustomize.com.

That is the borked double previews/reflections on the home page. The popups on the WC forums is new to IE 11.

I would also report that with IE 11, it seems when I reply/post in the WC forums, I type my text, then try to add a screen shot, the screen shot goes first, and forces the text down. Then I have to manually move the pic down and move the text back up.

Next? W9 - can only be used standing on your head, singing its praises while deluding yourself you're in New Zealand.

Gotta admit, that was funny...lol!!!

Bigger question here:

Why are you all using IE11 instead of Chrome? Even Firefox.

Even taking in the current problems with IE 11, it would be a question as to what people find that works for them.  Folks I think have found that each browser that is available will have their own unique pros and cons.  All about individual choice.

Believe it or not, some of us actually prefer Internet Explorer. I'd be using IE9 if it were a choice. Best browser ever, IMO, YMMV.

I ONLY have trouble with IE 11 on WinCustomize.com. Nowhere else.

Exactly. Thank you. For me I don't use IE simply because of the lack of extensions that can be added as in Firefox and Chrome and you can't set a minimum font size for all web pages.

Seems Microsoft has a patch ready for IE 11, this may solve the problems folks are having.
