Anyone other than me seeing this?   I have checked with several people and I seem to be the only one....

The Redneck broke his Google!

Break out some duct tape, Jim.

I think I found the problem, Wiz....

.....couldn't even make up my mind which 'stupid' pic to put up, although, in your case, any and all are appropriate.

Seriously, guys. This sucks.

on Jun 28, 2012

Not having that issue here at all Jim.  Weird.

on Jun 28, 2012

No issues here either Jim.

on Jun 28, 2012

darn Jim, but we haven't heard from Ross yet, so maybe...

Jim... try turning off all your browser extensions and rebooting. then turn them back on one at a time until you find the problem.

on Jun 28, 2012

That will take forever!  Turn on half of them, then if it works, turn on half of the remaining... and if it doesn't, turn off half of the ones that you turned on to start with.

Actually, just leave them all off forever.  That'll be better for everyone.

No extensions other than the default, but I did those...no help. I reset IE9 back to all defaults, no help. Uninstalled it, installed IE8, fixed it.

Now I can't install IE9, I get errors and the install fails.

I blame skinhit.

OK, finally. After several reboots, windows update finally let me install IE9. All is well now.

Odd thing was my Acronis backup failed to restore. Dunno what's up with that.

No problem here.....albeit after the fact.

Did you try a  chkdsk /f /r ?

btw - you never mentioned browser identity...

on Jun 28, 2012

I did sfc /scannow, disabled the logon screen...lol.

I did mention IE9 in reply 10.

chkdsk /f /r would be better, I believe, since it does an sfc /scannow as part of its 5 parts.

Might better read, "I didn't mention IE9 until reply 10."
