I dunno--that seems like about what Windows 8 is worth...$14.99.

But they should throw the computer in for free with it to really make it worthwhile.

I serious need to get a new computer, something to handle recent and new games, but Microsoft couldn't pay me enough to get Metro 8, because it simply isn't a desktop OS. I will get Windows 7 long before I ever even consider Metro 8 at this point.

The word "upgrade" should always be spelled with quotes when talking about Win8.

Win 8... an upgrade?????

Hmmm, what's the word for that?  Oxymoron?  Misnomer? Irony?

Nope, it's 'blatant f**ken lie'.

Orright, that's 3 words, but the pretty much sums it up.

I don't think Winky is happy about 8.

With Windows 8 coming out, it feels like Vista, or Windows ME, ALL OVER AGAIN! While Stardock has solved the start menu issue in Windows 8 its annoying that users have to do a workaround on Windows 8 just to get the desktop feel side of things back again. Simply put, you don't release a tablet style OS on a casual type environment the desktop or laptop.

I heard these "workarounds" dont work in the latest preview version anymore.

I don't got money for a new PC, so it don't matter much to me. Now if it was $14.99 INCLUDING the new PC, then I might consider. Heck, I might even use it if it included a new PC. With enough RAM. With a good video card. With a big enough hard drive.

Naw. Win 7 box looks like it has gone through h**** with its missing and worn off keys and grumpy drives, but I know what it will do in any situation.

They would have to pay me a lot more than $14.99 to switch from Windows 7.

Ditto

It'd take a lot more than a pair of sunnies to filter out that eyesore... and I don't fancy the alternative.
