I just got an HP Touchpad. I was wondering if anyone else here has one, and if so, any tips or tricks?
Post 'em here!
Wow! I looked all over for one and they were all sold out, where did you get it from Jim?
There'll be another "fire sale" in October, Tom.

Wow, thanks Doc!
Ebay, Tom. $230.00
Some guy there has a lot of 12 for sale.
If you check out my article you'll see HP will be selling more in October.
You're welcome, Jim.
and ...... a LOT cheaper than $230.00
I hope someone actually figures out a way to install Android Honeycomb. In the mean time, how cool is it? Is it easy to use for movies and music? I would like to see what current apps there are for it.
Lots of apps, not the ones I want though...I'm used to android...lol.
If I understand correctly, even then, the quantity will be very limited. $99.00 is better than $230.00, but then $230.00 is better than $499.00.
Financially, for me, it was now or risk missing out altogether. I have been playing with eReaders and so called tablets too long. I really like this one.
I know a guy at a local Aaron's store, the manager, who claims he has android on his Touchpad.
I am happy with the performance of WebOS, for now, but I do wish there were more/better apps.
If you had two you'd have.....
.....bookends....
Nope, not here, just can't find the use for the smaller sized mobile stuff that keeps coming out.
You must have an iPad...lol.
I don't have an i-anything.
I had a HP scanner once.
It couldn't understand what XP was....so it died.
Yeah, I've had a few bad HP PCs. I still have 3 Compaq PCs, which are essentially HPs. I'll never buy another HP lappy.
I'll reserve judgement on the Touchpad, for now. I'll have to play with it a few days to see what I really think of it.
Not so....
Just a minor update:
HP TouchPad Now Supports Android
http://news.cnet.com/8301-1023_3-20102677-93/hp-touchpad-screen-can-now-support-android/
So, even if WebOS totally fails, which it won't, there's an alternative OS for the TouchPad.
Sweet!!! I can't get the Touchpad to work with my printer. Apparently, it only works with HP printers. For now. [e digicons]:'([/e]
