Could someone explain the benefit of running an HFS+ file system on a Windows machine, if there is any?

Yrag, you there?

You'll be able to access  Mac HDD from Windows running NTFS (W7, Vista). You'll be able, therefore to run Mac graphics, etc. on a Windows machine, using less space:

Also, you'll be able to do iPod files on a partitioned HDD one to W7 the other to HFS+

HFS+ is an Apple file system, used for many Apple products. I am not sure why you would want to run an HFS+ file system on a windows machine at all. In the most general case, the windows drivers for that file system are relatively new and they seem to only be there to support removable drives which bounce between windows and apple platforms. There could be a benefit to creating such a file system for a removable drive but there is no real advantage to the file system over NTFS.

Ok I have to ask, RND ... Why are you looking to HFS+ on Windows.

Had to format my removable drive to FAT so I can use it between Win and Mac ... Not an ideal solution

Then HFS+ could probably help you... ahell of a lot more that FAT32.

Hop on your pony and get over to http://www.giveawayoftheday,com wher you can get the Paragon HFS+ driver/utility.

You're welcome.
