Just my thoughts....
Any Ideas?

Hey guys. I'm posting this in hopes that someone out there has had my problem and has the answer.

I seem to have lost half my write speed on an OCZ Agility 4 SSD.

256 GB Sata III on a Sata III Mobo.

Trim enabled.  ACHI mode.

1-13-2013 result on left....2012 on right.

EDIT: Windows 7 64 bit.  16 GB ram.

ATTO was used by request by OCZ and results sent to them, which is why they say the drive needs replaced.

SSDs have more issues than understood by most people.

My Revo doesn't have TRIM, and when you do a specific utilization pattern it will practically freeze up (20mb/sec writes) until it can do a proper GC pass.

Often the speed will be reduced if you go over a firmware hardcoded limit, and when things get fragmented they're still going to slow down SSD or no.

There's even counterfeit Flash in some cases http://thessdreview.com/daily-news/latest-buzz/manufacturer-shipped-review-sample-ssd-contains-fake-nand-flash-memory/

But hey, if OCZ says it needs to be replaced go for it.

UPDATE:

OCZ sent me a new Vertex 4.

Rated higher than my Agility 4, costs about $130.00 more than I paid for the Agility 4.

I'm happy...lol.
