Hey guys. If you felt the earth move, it was me.
I fell while remodeling my bathroom, and hit my head on the pedestal of the sink.
Gave me a real sinking feeling...hehe.
Doc had some fun with the pics on Facebook.
Hey, Jim looks pretty sharp in that suit. Nice job Doc!
And he's got hair!
Doc, that's classic!! I love the hole in the head, even if it is misplaced.
You are very good with PS.....looks like I'm really in the suit!!
Congrats on having the guts to tackle that "Learn as you go" on a bathroom is pretty ambitious, lots of "oops" potential there, and leaving one torn up too long can be, uh, problematic Looks like you're moving right along No more head-butting the fixtures though...
It looks like you're doing a good job, Jim, especially if it's your first time.
It does look good RD, and i been around a small share of remodels and a bit more new builds. Still don't know what i'm doin 'less i do it for me, but i know the laboring of it all quite well. Well done dude. hehe and i personally grok that "temp" fix" of the plastic over mold and draft. Been there and still fighting mold not far from rainy Seattle. Ahh thought this would be a break from 6 months of snow, but no, i'd rather a half year of snow+slush than rain=mold.
Thanks guys! I'm nearing completion.....hope to be done tomorrow, in time for the turkey.
I will/do have lots to be thankful for.
My wife tells me that if I hadn't reached for the toilet during my fall, I would likely have hit the top of the sink with my head, thus causing my neck to snap under the weight of my body, then hitting the floor with likely spinal damage. Then, likely, the sink would have landed on my face, being dislodged from its precarious perch atop the pedestal.
Instead, the hand on the toilet caused my body to turn just enough to miss the top of the sink, causing me to hit the floor and the sink pedestal at the same time. So the damage was minor.
I am very thankful this holiday!
Looking at that new hole in your head, Jim... I'd say the damage was miner. Happy Thanksgiving to you and the family.
Saved by the shitter! Hang in there,RnD, you'll get used to that indoor plumbin' yet.
I don't have anything funny or witty to say here; I'm a mother, a healthcare worker, former EMT, and somebody who has fallen down a lot -- that laceration on your head looks like you would be miserable, and I'm sorry it happened to you; I'm glad it wasn't worse. And as a former homeowner and somebody whose done a lot of home repairs, your remodel job looks AWESOME!
Karen, we gotta do clocks...lol. Sorry I haven't been in touch.
Thanks for the comment.
Nice job Jim...finally, indoor plumbing.
Got the fart fan in today!!!!
Fartastic! I hope it was the heavy duty, high-volume model.
