Just noticed not seeing Uvah in the desktop thread.
Anyone heard from him?
This is not good considering what he was going through. Does anyone know Ross's last name?
I know his last name, but putting it here would be a violation of privacy. I check the Internet every day for any obituary and there is nothing I can find.
That's good news, I guess.
You can send it to me by PM if you want - I also have his last name in here somewhere (and probably his address and phone number) since he is a registered Winstep user, but I only know him at WC by 'Uvah' or 'Ross'. Not knowing his last name makes it very difficult to locate his order and therefore the other details.
PM sent JC.
Thanks! Replied to!
Bump....
Yeah, this is not good. It's 3:45am here in Canada and he is on my mind.
Bumpitty.
I come here daily to check for word. Some updates. Anything. Aw..
Guys, Uvah used Winstep Xtreme so I had his customer file. Once I knew his last name I was able to locate his purchase order and get his address and phone number (the phone number he provided when he last renewed his upgrade subscription in 2018). We tried calling him but it went straight to voice mail.
Given what was going on with him at the time (terminal cancer) and that I don't believe - given his amazingly positive attitude - he would waste an opportunity to get in touch with his friends here at WC if he could, I and others have a very bad feeling about this.
That is all I know.
Yeah, kinda thinking the same thing. I searched my emails, for he and I had some emailing going on, I found his number in one. Got the same, straight to voicemail.
I fear that he has left our realm. If so, at least he's well again.
The sad thing is he is not the only one, I have given my word so I can't say anymore than that.
I hate cancer, it has taken so many good people, people I loved including my sister and my best friend, when my friend died it changed me as a person. I don't understand, we have evil people who live to be a hundred and we have great people who live to be less than 60, unfortunately, cancer is no respecter of persons.
