Everyone has just imagined that it hasn't always been this way.

It's not a site issue, it's done by design.

We got that in a past reply, but opinion is, it's a BAD design. And if it is by design, how do you explain the option to turn it off not working? Is that failed option also by design?

That option, unchecked, SHOULD fix the irritation, but as you can see, it isn't working.

C'mon Spencer, look past the trees and see the forest. 

The fact that it isn't working as designed makes it a site issue.

The forums are free to use, but enhanced for those who pay for a subscription.

Really? that is some 'design' you got there. 

.02 - the site automatically checking the "Subscribe to this post" checkbox as soon as you start to type a reply, whether intentional or not, is BAD design.  We already have a "My Replies" list we can follow.  It should be unchecked until the user chooses to voluntarily check it.

But I don't work for Stardock.

Support says they are looking into MY issue with this, as if it's only me...lol.

I hope they straighten this out, if only for me. 

What is the point you're attempting to make here?

There is no special treatment from support in this forum or any of the other Stardock forums.

The issue will be resolved for all users.

Making threats and acting like 5 year olds does not solve anything.
